4. Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files which are sent by our web server to your browser during your visit and which are stored by your browser on your computer for a visit at a later date. They contain information which can be called up when you access our services. The cookies serve the purpose of enabling a more efficient, more user-friendly experience of our services and offers. Furthermore, cookies are also used in order to collect statistics on our website, such as the number of visitors to it.

No personal data are collected or transmitted. Google will not amalgamate the IP address transmitted by your browser with other Google data.
We use permanent and so-called session cookies. Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser. Permanent cookies stay on your terminal device until they are no longer required for the purpose at hand, and then they are deleted.

You can completely deactivate the "Save cookies” function in your browser, for instance, restrict this function to certain websites or configure your browser such that it automatically notifies you as soon as a cookie is set and requests you to reply to this notification.
Furthermore, cookies already set on your device can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If you deactivate the setting of cookies in the used Internet browser, the unrestricted use of all the functions on our website can no longer be guaranteed.

5. Google Analytics

Our website uses the “Google Analytics” service offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The purpose of this service is to analyse the visitor numbers to our website. Google Analytics uses “cookies” – text files which are saved on your terminal device. Each time you call up a website in which a Google Analytics component is integrated, the Internet browser is automatically notified to send data to a Google server in the USA: these data are stored there. On our behalf, Google will use this information in order to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and in order to provide services associated with the use of the website and the use of the Internet towards us as the operator of the website.

No personal data are transmitted to Google in the course of this. The IP address collected by us will only be forwarded to Google once it has been anonymised. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. Google will not amalgamate the IP address transmitted as part of Google Analytics by your browser with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of the cookies on your device by making corresponding settings in your browser. Your unrestricted use of all the functions of this website cannot be guaranteed if your browser doesn’t permit the setting of cookies.

Furthermore, you can prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) being sent to Google Inc. and being used by Google Inc. by means of a browser plug-in. Click on the following link to access the corresponding plug-in: Browser-Add-on to Deactivate Google Analytics.

If you call up web pages on our website equipped with such a plug-in, a connection is made to the Vimeo servers and the plug-in is depicted. This transmits to the Vimeo server the information about which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in to Vimeo as a guest, Vimeo assigns this information to your own personal user account. By using the plug-in by, for instance, clicking on to the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account.
